Special Programming

Art Gallery

The Visual Arts Department presents 11 month-long exhibits each year. Our gallery is used to present local, regional and national artists. Many school programs are scheduled in conjunction with the exhibits. Gallery hours: 9am-9pm, Monday through Thursday; 9am-5pm Friday and Saturday. The Gallery is also open for viewing during all performances.

Art Experience

Art Classes are offered for adults and children in traditional fine arts such as oil painting, watercolor, drawing and ceramics. Other classes and workshops are offered in many other areas, including quilting, candlemaking, papermaking and cooking, to name a few. Children's classes are designed to develop skills in drawing, painting and ceramics.

Dance

The new dance wing, funded by the Civic Development Corporation, has been open since October 1996. It houses two spacious dance studios, equipped with state of the art basket-weave dance floors. This technology in dance floors minimizes dance related injuries and wear and tear on the joints. Performances throughout the year include the holiday classic "The Nutcracker," the annual Spring Concert and other concerts throughout the year.

Dance Classes

The philosophy of the Dance Department is to create a warm and nurturing environment for students to explore dance as an art form and as a form of recreation. A comprehensive program for students of all ages is offered. Dance classes include creative dance, ballet technique, point, pas de deux, variations, modern, tap and dance exercise throughout the year.

The Stage

Drama Classes

The Theater Department also offers a wide range of drama classes and workshops for children, teens and adults to encourage creative imagination.
